If you have The Latin Tamer, it explains all you need to
know to understand what you’ll find on this website. But the site is
meant to be useful whether you have the book or not; so here you’ll find
excerpts from the book that explain the idea behind the project, the
conventions used in the illustrations, etc.
Understanding the
Explanations. How to make sense out of the “Details” that follow the
illustrations in the book and on this site (from Chapters 3 and 4 of
The Latin Tamer).
Pronunciation. Notes on how
Latin was spoken (plus some material on the subject beyond what’s found
in the book).
Sample chapter on the gerundive. A pdf of
Chapter 41 from The Latin Tamer. It’s included here so you
can see how a typical chapter looks and reads if you don’t have the
book.
